BrainCore Sciences

BrainCore Sciences & Mental Health Therapy: How It Could Enhance Integrity Counseling

BrainCore Sciences is a neurofeedback-based system that uses EEG (electroencephalogram) technology to measure brainwave activity and help individuals learn to regulate their brain function more effectively. It is based on the principle of neuroplasticity—the brain's ability to reorganize and form new neural pathways throughout life.

How BrainCore Works

The process typically begins with a qEEG brain map, which identifies patterns of brainwave activity that may be associated with symptoms such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, PTSD, sleep disturbances, emotional dysregulation, or difficulty concentrating.

During neurofeedback sessions:

  1. Sensors are placed on the scalp to monitor brainwave activity.

  2. The client watches a movie, listens to music, or interacts with a computer-based program.

  3. The BrainCore software provides real-time feedback when healthier brainwave patterns occur.

  4. Over repeated sessions, the brain learns to self-regulate and maintain more optimal functioning.

Unlike medication, neurofeedback is designed to train the brain rather than chemically alter it. BrainCore describes its system as non-invasive and drug-free.
